Second car, colored wheels, and paintjobs
Another month, and I just about managed to create another car.
It's called Hike, and it's inspired by some small SUVs - Mitsubishi Pajero Mini, Suzuki Jimny, and ARO 10. I'm much more satisfied with this vehicle, as it doesn't look too close to any of the references and has its own character.
I got help (thanks Dante) with 4 car color sync in SA-MP, as only the first 2 colors are synced by default. I haven't used the third color yet but decided that the fourth color would be used for the wheels. I also recreated the wheels for my first car, and from now on most vehicle wheels are going to be colorable.
I created a new paintjob shader - it doesn't simply get multiplied by the car color as in vanilla, but instead this shader calculates a complementary accent color, and also allows black and white to be mixed on top. With this I will be able to create more interesting paintjobs, which can be used with any color.
So I made some paintjobs for the Hike already.
Not only the car body texture changes, but each paintjob has a unique wheel cover on the back.
And here are some night screenshots.
I really should make some progress on the map, but not sure if the next post will be in exactly a month again, I might be busy with some real life stuff.
Follow me on Kick, I might do some public streams on there.
I signed up on Telegram as well.
